Ten veterans of the U.S. women's soccer team that won a gold medal at the Athens Olympics last summer have been selected to a 24-player roster that will train for the squad's first home match of the year.
The game will be played against Canada on June 26 in Virginia Beach, Va.
The team will be headed by Abby Wambach, whose 31-goal performance in 2004 was the second best scoring year in U.S. history. The team also includes new captain Kristine Lilly and Shannon Boxx, who has started 45 of the team's last 48 games.
New coach Greg Ryan also added Tiffeny Milbrett, who hasn't played for the U.S. since November ...
