Serbia-Montenegro officials on Thursday promised to hunt down and arrest Gen. Ratko Mladic within a month following pressure by the chief U.N. war crimes prosecutor for his and another top fugitive's extradition.

In a demonstration of resolve to clamp down of war crimes suspects, the Serbian police on Thursday detained several former members of a Serbian paramilitary unit who appeared in gruesome footage shown at a U.N. war crimes trial Wednesday as they allegedly appeared to execute six Bosnian Muslims in 1995.
