(The Peak) (U-WIRE) BURNABY, British Columbia -- I'll be honest: I expected a lot less.
In only its second year, the Student Film Festival & Trade Fair, produced by Freshly Brewed Productions, was a sleeper hit for the Vancouver film community. More than 30 films were screened and four guest speakers appeared in an event on May 29 that provided valuable exposure for young filmmakers, as well as a thoughtful look at what is happening in Vancouver's cinema scene.
This is to say nothing, of course, of the films themselves.
