Aths: Steffensen shocked by decision to omit 400m relay team

SYDNEY, June 11 AAP - Australia surprised many when it took Olympic silver in the 400m
relay last year, but this year the event will go unrepresented at the world track and
field championships in August.
It's a decision that's not sitting well with John Steffensen, the sole member of the
4x400 Athens medal-winning team to qualify for the event in Helsinki, Finland.
With fellow medal winners Clinton Hill injured and Patrick Dwyer and Mark Ormrod opting
out of the event, selectors felt they had no choice but to omit the team.
