CUMBERLAND --
The Town Council voted 5-2 Monday to allow the town's Val Halla golf course to apply for a state license to sell beer from a mobile cart on the course. If the state approves the request, the council will hold a public hearing on the issue on June 27 and vote then on whether to authorize the license.
Selling beer from mobile carts is permitted by a newly revised state law.
