U.S. Open golf champion Michael Campbell has pulled out of the upcoming French Open, organizers said Monday.

The New Zealander, who considered giving up the game a few years ago to sell golf balls, held off Tiger Woods to win the U.S. Open on Sunday.

He had been scheduled to play at the French Open, which begins Thursday in Versailles, but he has decided to pull out and go on vacation ...
