Slovak soldiers shot and killed an Iraqi after his vehicle overtook a Slovakian military convoy in Iraq, a Slovak defense ministry spokesman said Thursday.

The spokesman said Slovak soldiers fired warning shots after an Iraqi vehicle did not respect the rule of not passing a military convoy, injuring its civilian driver who then died during transport to a hospital.
