Tom Carper, D-Del., today issued the following statement on some Acela
trains returning to service after a faulty brake system led to a shutdown
on April 15: "I am pleased to hear that some of the Acela trains returned
to service this morning. Amtrak, the Federal Railroad Administration, Knorr
Brake Company Corporation, and Bombardier- Alstom consortium have worked
together to create a new and better brake system to support the Acela trains,
