When Sintayehu Taye was a boy in the village of Amigna Haro in southern Ethiopia, he never dreamed of being a track star.
"It was too hard for me to run," he said. "I didn't have shoes. I didn't have equipment."
Taye didn't race but he did play soccer. "There was no competitive sports like here," he said. "But we played soccer every day, everywhere."
