Article: Trumpet Awards To Be Telecast on TV One

The Trumpet Awards Foundation announced that TV One, the lifestyle and
entertainment network for African American adults, will be its new
television partner, in a multi-year agreement under which TV One will
televise the Awards and its Red Carpet Show.

The TRUMPET AWARDS were created in 1993 to honor African-American
achievement in diverse fields such as law, religion, politics, public
service, sports and entertainment. During the past twelve years, the
Trumpet Awards have honored Muhammad Ali, Nelson Manela, Kenneth "Babyface"
Edmonds, Gordon Parks, Lena Horne, Benjamin Carson, Eldrick 'Tiger' Woods,
Bryant Gumbel, Ed Brooke, and many others.
