As St. Elizabeth's Hospital celebrates 150 years of service to mentally ill
patients in the District of Columbia, its future remains murky despite
plans for a new $110 million hospital facility on the historic Southeast
site.
There are varying opinions throughout the medical and social service
communities on what to do with the aged yet renowned mental health
facility.
"We should give it back to the feds," Dr. Michael Griffiths, who recently
founded American Healthcare Campaign, a political action committee
