A German rapper has been detained in Austria on suspicion of assault after a 20-year-old man was assaulted and hospitalized for head injuries, police said Saturday.

Anis Ferchichi, who goes by the name Bushido, was detained on Wednesday in the northern city of Linz, police officer Franz Hirnschrodt said. Ferchichi and his body guards are suspected of having beaten the 20-year-old on July 30. The body guards had left the country when the crime was reported to police.
