WA: Labor senator to face trial for misleading police
West Australian Labor Senator RUTH WEBBER will face trial in November on a charge of
wilfully misleading police.
40-year-old WEBBER has been charged with driving while suspended and wilfully misleading
West Australian police.
The charges refer to an incident when she was pulled over for speeding in the northern
Perth suburb of Joondalup on October the 9th last year.
With her WA licence suspended because of an unpaid fine, WEBBER allegedly falsely informed
police she held a current ACT driver's licence.
