On the night Jim Thome's season officially ended, Ryan Howard made it quite clear that the Philadelphia Phillies have a capable backup. The young first baseman did his best impression of the Phillies' injured slugger by hitting a grand slam in the ninth inning to beat the Los Angeles Dodgers 9-5 Wednesday night.
