Seated on the wreckage of a US plane, Colonel Nguyen Van Bay explains with the help of scale models, how he shot down a US Phantom jet with his Russian made MIG.17. Thirty two years ago, born in South Vietnam in 1954, he joined the North where he was trained as a pilot. Decorated for having shot down seven American planes, he is considered the greatest ace in the North Vietnamese aviation.With a model of a Russian built MIG in his right hand, he shows how the American plane in his left hand is attacked from below and the rear, the American pilot could not see the rear attacker.
