Jake Peavy showed his idol he has been paying attention.
The 24-year-old right-hander threw a four-hitter Tuesday night to give the San Diego Padres a 2-0 victory over the Houston Astros.
Peavy didn't just beat the Astros. He beat Roger Clemens, the man whose jersey hangs in his home.
