Qld: Waiting lists "dropped off the radar" - inquiry

BRISBANE, Aug 25 AAP - Former Queensland Health Minister Wendy Edmond reneged on a
promise to resolve "hidden" waiting lists at hospitals statewide because the issue had
"dropped off the radar", an inquiry has heard.

One of Ms Edmond's first press releases as health minister, tendered to the Morris
health inquiry today, said that her investigations into hospital waiting lists "reveals
a massive unofficial list of would-be patients who haven't even made the official list".
