Vic: Beware dodgy Games accommodation deals
The Victorian government has warned that unscrupulous accommodation providers could
ruin the travel plans of visitors to next year's Commonwealth Games in Melbourne.
Consumer Affairs Minister MARSHA THOMSON says the government had prepared a consumer
protection strategy for the Games to deal with potential problems.
But she has warned visitors to do their homework, shop around and avoid dodgy accommodation
deals.
