A top Bosnian Serb war crimes suspect, indicted by a U.N. tribunal for some of the worst atrocities in the Bosnian war, has surrendered to Serb authorities in Bosnia, a government official said.

The suspect, Sredoje Lukic, who has been hiding since late 1990s, was indicted by the tribunal in The Hague, Netherlands, in 2000 for crimes against humanity, Rasim Ljajic, Serbia-Montenegro's minister in charge of cooperation with the tribunal, told The Associated Press.
