(Kansas State Collegian) (U-WIRE) MANHATTAN, Kan. -- When Kansas State faces North Texas on Saturday, it will be the meeting of two programs with strong ties to each other.
Not only did coach Bill Snyder's first win as K-State's head coach come against North Texas (then North Texas State) in 1989, Mean Green coach Darrell Dickey was the K-State quarterback in 1982 when the Wildcats went to their first-ever bowl game.
Add in the fact Snyder was an assistant coach at North Texas from 1976-78, and the binds connecting the two programs become even stronger.
