The King is back.
Eleven years after being banished from dining tables Down Under, Canberra has cleared Roquefort _ known as the King of Cheeses _ for import again.
The unpasteurized ewe's milk cheese laced with bluish-green veins and ripened in caves in southern France is back in favor with Australian bureaucrats who once more consider it safe to eat _ after visiting France to check on production methods.
Christopher Pyne, Australia's Parliamentary Secretary for Health and Aging, announced the decision Friday.
