Matrix Human Services, which has seven divisions, recently hosted the
Matrix Mystery Cruise, a fundraiser aboard the Ovation Yacht.
Funds raised support Casa Maria, an arm of Matrix, located in Southwest
Detroit. Stronger familial relationships are fostered by providing positive
caring environments for youth on the street, offering after school programs
to encourage academic achievement and assisting youth in setting and
accomplishing long-term goals.
About 180 people boarded the yacht, raising nearly $37,000 that will be
used to fund programming for youth in Detroit.
