triangle of Asian powers

In recent times, much discussion and debate centers around Indo-US
relations - the whys, the wherefores, and what ifs. Examining the contours
of this relationship in the round is, therefore, a necessary exercise - and
a first step is quantifying what India brings to the table, in such a
relationship.

India, next only to China as the world's leading developing country, has
about one third of its population in the middle class sector of economy. It
has nurtured its economy, and created a pool of technicians that is among
