President Bush celebrated the 50th anniversary of the conservative magazine National Review and honored its founder, William F. Buckley Jr., before a group of Republican leaders on Thursday.

Bush said the magazine has "a lot of readers here in the West Wing." He credited Buckley and the magazine with starting a conservative movement in Washington.
