A year after China's president swept through Latin America with big promises of trade deals and investments, many deals remain unsigned and relations between the Asian giant and the region have hit a rough patch.
The timing couldn't be better for U.S. President George W. Bush, who will be traveling to the fourth Summit of the Americas in Argentina on Nov. 4 and is little bothered _ perhaps even pleased _ with the cooling trade relations between Latin America and China.
