(The Parthenon) (U-WIRE) HUNTINGTON, W.Va. -- The Marshall University Alumni Association and 10 Papa John's locations near the university are raising scholarship funds through their "Drum up a Deal" event for Homecoming on Saturday.
When the university first approached Papa John's for donations, Papa John's said it would not be able to make the donations by writing a check because it did not have the funds.
McRae Pennington, director of corporate and foundation relations, met with Papa John's General Manager David Riggs to arrange a deal to help the university, students and Papa John's become partners.
