Fed: Ruddock behind ACT lock out from terror laws, Stanhope says

CANBERRA, Oct 25 AAP - ACT Chief Minister Jon Stanhope has accused federal Attorney-General
Philip Ruddock of being behind moves to exclude the ACT government from terror law briefings.

Mr Stanhope published a draft of the terror laws on his website, breaching Council
of Australian Governments (COAG) confidentiality.

Criticised for his decision by state and federal leaders, Mr Stanhope was told on Friday
by email that a further draft of the laws would be forwarded to state and territory governments
from the Commonwealth Office of Parliamentary Counsel, but the ACT was to be left out.
