Food bank fears slowdown in donations -- Expects more people to need help this year

Not that it doesn't want your canned goods, but lately New Jersey's largest food bank would rather have an infusion of cash.

Cash is what allows the Community Food Bank of New Jersey to collect, store, transport and distribute food to pantries throughout the state. And cash is what it needs now, because preliminary numbers show that giving to a major annual monetary drive is down, said Executive Director Kathleen DiChiara.
