I WAS surprised by the article "Fewer people using public transport"
(NST, Oct 27).
Are you trying to imply that public transport is of no use to the
people of the Klang Valley?
Perhaps the goal was to present the impression that it already was.
Either way, the assumption that public transport is expensive and slow
is incorrect.
It is easy for people to assume that public transport is expensive.
After all, public transport users have to pay an up-front fee, while
roads appear to be "free".
However, in Malaysia where owning and operating a car is ...
