LONDON, Nov. 5, 2005 (IPS/GIN) -- No agreements emerged from a
conference of environment ministers and other representatives from
20 countries called by the British government in London but the
meeting may be laying the groundwork for changing the world's
emission-reduction efforts after the Kyoto protocol expires in
2012.
The London conference was held Nov. 1 and 2, in advance of the
United Nations climate change conference Nov. 28-Dec. 9 in
Montreal.
"It was 20 countries talking together about clean technology,
the scope of technology in delivering emissions reductions,"
