Welcome to the high-tech front line of a battle to save the minds -- and,
ultimately, lives -- of young people. This is not the on-again, off-again
debate on television violence, bloody horror movies or even hip-hop lyrics,
though those genres are potent collaborators in the infusion of violence
into the culture. For a number of reasons, the violent video game
