Four-time defending champion Lyon looks to make it 21 league matches unbeaten and a club-record eight straight wins Saturday when it is at Nice in the French first division.

Dominant in France and the Champions League, Lyon is enjoying its best ever start to a season as the only unbeaten team in Europe's top leagues.

Lyon's last league defeat was April 17 against Paris Saint-Germain. Its only two losses since then have been penalty shootouts _ to PSV Eindhoven in last season's Champions League quarterfinals and to Nantes in this season's French League Cup.
