Soc: Leipzig proud to host World Cup draw

LEIPZIG, Germany, Reuters - The eyes of the world will once again be on Leipzig --
a small city trapped behind the Iron Curtain until 1989 and known as the "city of heroes"
ever since -- for next week's draw for the 2006 soccer World Cup finals.
The city so proud of its starring role in the revolution that led to the collapse of
communism in East Germany is all abuzz ahead of the FIFA congress and the December 9 draw
that 320 million people in 145 countries will watch live.
