(The Towerlight) (U-WIRE) TOWSON, Md. -- You've all probably heard director Ang Lee's "Brokeback Mountain" (opening in limited release Dec. 9, and in Baltimore Jan. 6) referred to as the "gay cowboy" movie. Ask Jake Gyllenhaal, one of the film's stars, and he'll tell you, "for people who say it's a gay cowboy movie, I say it's the Ang Lee movie about two cowboys who fall in love." The term that's plagued "Brokeback" before it ever went into production is bothersome to both Gyllenhaal and Lee, but both are confident the strength of the film will surpass any silly name it gets dubbed with in the media.
