Crik: De Villiers puts South Africa on top against Australia

PERTH, Dec 17 AAP - Young South African opener AB De Villiers stroked a classy and
unbeaten 63 as the tourists powered their way to 2-128 at lunch on the second day of the
first Test against Australia.

Fiery Australian paceman Brett Lee struck in the penultimate over before lunch, dismissing
Herschelle Gibbs who played on to his stumps for seven after a 44-run stand for the second
wicket with De Villiers.

Jacques Rudolph was yet to open his account at lunch after facing seven balls.
