I CAN relate to ST's experience in "Becoming affluent and selfish" (NST, Dec 19) where she related a few incidents that marred her group tour to China.
True, Malaysians may be getting more affluent but you really can't disguise bad manners, even among those who are supposedly educated.
In my case, I was lining up at the ticketing counter for a movie last weekend and I stood in line at the head of the queue at the lane marker (leaving a small gap between the head of the line and the person who had reached the ticket/cashier's window) as is the norm at all cinema queues.
