Fr. Thomas J. Gralinski, 91, was the senior priest at St. May of the
Assumption Catholic Church in Lancaster. Born in Amherst, Massachusetts to
Polish immigrants, he served as an alter boy and at the age of five, had a
dream to become a priest. He studied philosophy at French University,
Montreal, Canada, received a bachelor's degree from Catholic University,
Lviv, Poland, and also studied in Rome. He spoke English, Polish, Italian,
French, Spanish and Slovak fluently and studied Greek and Hebrew. Fr.
Gralinski was ordained a priest in Massachusetts on July 5, 1941 and
retired from full-time ministry in 1992.

Edwin F. Karkula, 84, was a retired colonel in the Air ...
