What a year it has been. There was the never-ending debate over the Approved Permits scheme, the endless speculation over a Cabinet reshuffle and the headline-grabbing nude squat controversy, to name just a few.

In between, world number one squash player Nicol David reminded Malaysians that nothing brings us together like success in sports.
