The dollar was higher versus the yen and the British pound but little changed against the euro Wednesday, after the U.S. currency bounced back from overnight losses during New York trading.
In another choppy and thin year-end session, the dollar traded in fairly broad ranges. At one stage in the U.S. session, the pound was 2.5 cents below its overnight high. The euro traded in a 1.2 cent range.
Late in New York, the euro was at $1.1837 from $1.1831 late Tuesday. The dollar was at 117.84 yen from Y117.42 and at 1.3173 Swiss francs from 1.3175 francs, according to EBS. The pound fell to $1.7156 from $1.7271. The euro was at 139.49 yen ...
