Foster parents are needed. I found Out this is the case in the state of
Georgia. Foster is an adjective defined as "affording, receiving or sharing
nurture or parental care thought not related by blood or legal ties" as
defined in Webster's Ninth New Collegiate Dictionary-A Merriam-Webster. The
word parent, a noun, means "one that brings forth offspring," in the same
resource. I have personal friends who are foster parents and it means the
difference in the lives of youth that need the help.
What is required? I found out from Ms. Sabrina Leonard and Mr. Lewis Powell
that a single parent can be a foster parent. The foster parent, of course,
