General Motors and the GM Foundation donated three Sit-N-Lift-equipped
Chevrolet Uplander sport vans to the United Way for Southeastern Michigan
last week to benefit seniors and local residents with limited mobility.
The vans, which were upfitted with GM's exclusive Sit-N-Lift motorized
seats by Rodgers Chevrolet in Woodhaven, will be used at three agencies
serving the tri-county area.
Lorna Utley, president of the GM Foundation, turned over the keys for the
new vans to Michael J. Brennan, president and CEO, United Way for
Southeastern Michigan. The vans were then presented to Ron Kimball,
executive director, ARC Services of Macomb, Ron Borngesser, executive
