Locals will remember the life and legacy of civil rights advocate Rosa
Parks with two area events.
On Thursday, November 3 at 7:00 p.m. BMSF (Black "Market Street" Flyer)
will host a Rosa Reflection Night at Carol's Books, 300 Florin Road.
Organizers of the hour-long program invite the public to share poems, a
reading or memory of seeing Ms. Parks in person.
On Tuesday, December 6 city leaders will host a celebration in honor of the
50th anniversary of the historic Montgomery Bus Boycott. The event will be
held from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at City Hall, located at 915 I Street.
