500 audition to lose weight in reality show

KUALA LUMPUR, Sun. - Hezeri Abu Karim of Kajang has been unsuccessfully fighting the flab for years. Now the 34-year-old, who weighs 210kg, is hoping that participation in a reality show will do the trick.

He was among some 500 people, each weighing more than 100kg, who auditioned for the weight-loss reality TV show Diet Down, Cheer Up.
Hezeri said: "I have been trying to lose weight for many years. I want to make it through this audition because I am determined to be fit."

Coming from various parts of the Klang Valley, prospective participants waited patiently for their turn after registering ...
