Fruit or vegetable? No matter how you look at it, tomatoes are versatile
crops used in different recipes around the world.

In the Western culture, a tomato sauce base is commonly used in pasta,
soups, stews and breads. In the United States, traditional Creole cooking
from Louisiana boasts of its Gumbo, a rich stew with chicken, beef or
seafood as its main meats.

Italians on the other hand, use the sauce in virtually everything, from the
traditional pizza and pasta to inventive soups and meat dishes.
