Marvin Baxter, an Associate Justice of the California Supreme Court, joined
a large group of judges, lawyers, law professors, legal scholars and
members of the Armenian community as the honored guest at the Armenian Bar
Association's (Armenbar) Midyear National Meeting in San Francisco,
California, the weekend of September 23-25, 2005.
Justice Baxter has been on the high court since 1991 and is one of its
senior members. Previously, Baxter had practiced law in Fresno for many
years before joining Governor George Deukmejian's administration as the
Appointments Secretary, serving as the Governor's principal advisor on all
