(The California Aggie) (CSTV U-WIRE) DAVIS, Calif. -- Despite being the unanimous preseason pick by the coaches and media to win the Big West, the Titans are currently ranked fifth in the eight-team league with a 3-4 conference record.

Preview: Beginning this evening, the Aggies will host two Big West teams whose achievements thus far in the conference season serve as proof to the argument that preseason polls are meaningless.

UCR will enter the Pavilion fielding a squad that was predicted to finish last in the conference by a vote of coaches in November. After victories over UCSB and Pacific, the Highlanders currently stand in sixth place.
