Kayla Parker scored 16 points and Beth Fredette added 10 to lead Sanford to a 53-44 victory against Gorham in a Southern Maine Activities Association schoolgirl basketball game Saturday night. Sanford (14-0) shot 12 of 18 from the foul line in the first quarter and opened a 20-10 lead. Sanford led 36-16 at halftime.
Rachele Burns led the Rams (9-6) with 13 points.
MCAULEY 64, THORNTON ACADEMY 17: Carolyn Freeman scored 16 points to lead the Lions (14-1) over the Golden Trojans (1-14) at Portland.
