(Daily Utah Chronicle) (CSTV U-WIRE) SALT LAKE CITY -- The Runnin' Utes rode a strong start to a big first half before hanging on down the stretch to knock off Wyoming, 71-63 on Wednesday night in Laramie, Wyo.
Utah (10-9, 3-5 MWC) broke a five game road-losing streak with the win over the Cowboys (11-10, 4-4 MWC) -- a string of losses that dated back to November 26.
Utah was led by a trio of scorers, as Luke Nevill and Bryant Markson had 19 points apiece and Johnnie Bryant finished with 18. Nevill's total tied a career high. Cowboy freshman Brandon Ewing led all scorers with 26, but missed on all five of his 3-point attempts.
