The deputy head of Iran's powerful National Security Council will lead Tehran's delegation to next week's Moscow talks on a Russian-proposed joint uranium enrichment venture, the ITAR-Tass news agency reported Wednesday.

Moscow's proposal to shift Iran's uranium enrichment to Russia has been backed by the United States and the European Union as a way to provide additional oversight of Iran's use of atomic fuel and ease international suspicions that Tehran aims to use its nuclear program to produce weapons.
