Shenyang to Expand Urban Area to 3,551 Square Kilometers
SHENYANG, Feb 16, 2006 (SinoCast via COMTEX) -- Shenyang, the capital city of Northeastern China's Liaoning Province, plans to expand its major urban area in all directions, according to the municipal government.
Its urban area measures 310 square kilometers now and its urban residents amount to 5.68 million. The municipal government along with its construction department will build Shenyang into a large city which covers an area of 3,551 square kilometers and has a population of more than 10 million.
